Coblers boss on third summer signing
Cobblers boss Chris Wilder made his third signing of the summer this week, bringing in Preston North End left-back David Buchanan.
“David is a determined, tenacious full-back,” he said.
“He’s got a fantastic attitude and he wants to win and to help us be successful. He’s played at a higher level and he’s an organiser.
“We need to tighten up defensively going into next season and this is a good solid signing for us.
“We know what David brings, the defence was obviously an area that we needed to improve and this boy has the qualities and the defensive mindset to help us keep the ball out of our net.
“We have to improve our defensive record and with David in and around the team I’m sure we will do that because I know what he is like and I know what he will bring to the group. He’s come here to win games of football and to help us get to a higher level."
