David Cardoza looking ahead to the close season recruitment
Chairman David Cardoza says he is delighted with the onfield progress made this season, and he has high hopes such progress can be continued into next season.
“To have got so close to the play-offs and have just fallen away over the last month or so is disappointing but we’ve made fantastic progress under Chris and I’m sure we will progress even further next season," he said.
“We want to get to League One, establish ourselves there and then get into the Championship. Any club with ambition would want to do that and I think we’ve got the fan base and the manager here to do that.
“The potential here is huge it’s just unfortunate that it hasn’t quite been tapped yet.
“I’m very upbeat and this is the first off-season in a long time where we have already got a number of our first eleven already under long-term contracts.
“We’ve finally got some stability, we will bring in some more quality and I’m sure next season we will be looking a lot stronger."
