NORTHAMPTON TOWN SIGN JAMES GRAY ON LOAN

6 March 2015

Cobblers bring in Accrington striker

Northampton Town have signed Accrington Stanley striker James Gray on loan for the rest of the season.

The 22 year old striker has previously appeared for Darlington and Kettering Town before joining Stanley in 2012.

He has since scored 14 goals for Stanley in 44 starts and 32 substitute appearances. This season he has found the net 5 times in twelve starts and eight appearances from the bench.

"James is a player who has always caught our eye, whether playing against us or in games we have been watching," said Northampton Town manager Chris Wilder.

"We think he will add something different to our squad. He is full of energy, he has pace and he can run in behind.

"He is also very aggressive, which is a trait I like, and he can be a real handful to defenders."

Gray will wear squad number 14 at Sixfields.
