CHRIS WILDER UPBEAT AFTER LOSS AT PLYMOUTH

7 March 2015

The Cobblers boss on Plymouth Argyle v Northampton Town

Cobblers boss Chris Wilder reflecting on Saturday’s 2-0 defeat at Plymouth.

“I’m disappointed with the result but I’m not disappointed with how we played,” he said.

“It was a tight game, Plymouth maybe edged the first half but we were knocking on the door in the second half and I thought we deserved to take something but it wasn’t to be.

“We’ve had a good week, 6 points from 9 is a good return and there is a lot of fight and spirit in this group. We kept battling today and we pushed a good Plymouth side all the way.

“The spirit of this team is outstanding and we will dust ourselves down from this and go again.

“We’ve closed the gap to the play-offs over the last few weeks and we’d have loved to have closed it even more today but we’ve still got everything to play for.

“The team is playing consistently good football, there are good signs for us going forward and we’re going to give it a right good go in the next 11 games.”
