Cobblers boss Chris Wilder previews Tuesday night’s home game against Portsmouth.

“I’m sure we are in for another open attacking entertaining game with any result possible,” he said.

“Both sides will be going for the win and night games here always seem to produce a cracking atmosphere.

“There is always a little bit more energy and a little bit more zip to a night game and that’s what we are expecting.

“Hopefully our supporters are enjoying watching us at the moment and we are going to go for the game again, and we expect Portsmouth to do exactly the same.

“We were delighted with the result on Saturday, expectation levels have obviously been raised another notch but the players should take a lot of confidence from going to arguably one of the best sides in the division and winning.

“There is enough experience in the changing room and in the staff to know that we are not going to get carried away and it’ll be another really tough game for us on Tuesday.

“Portsmouth are in decent nick, it’s always a special atmosphere with their fans and I think in terms of the result it is going to be a really close game.”
