Cobblers boss Chris Wilder previews the Tuesday night visit of Carlisle United to Sixfields.

“We’re in the mix and that’s all we can ask for,” he said.

“The teams above us will be looking over their shoulders and we want to close the gap and get right amongst it.

“We knew this was going to be a major week for us in terms of these two home games to set us up going into the back end of the season and we will be going for another three points.

“We had to move on pretty quickly after the defeat at Plymouth and that’s what delighted us with the performance and the result on Saturday.

“We are playing well and the performances from the players have been consistently high.

“The players are enjoying it and so should the supporters and we want them to get right behind us.

“I know it can get a bit nervous for supporters especially late on in games but we need that support and every player needs that support.”
