Winger Chris Hackett has recovered from the illness that saw him miss last Saturday’s trip to Plymouth.

“Chris has trained this week and is fine,” confirmed boss Chris Wilder.

“He would have started at Plymouth as would John-Joe but he was also ill last week and wasn’t able to start on Saturday.

“Losing Marc Richards is obviously a huge blow and maybe that was more of a psychological blow to the group than we realised.

“Marc is a massive player for us and a big character in the dressing room and I think it’d be a huge blow for any team in this league to lose their captain and leading goalscorer.

“We need to deal with losing Marc and we will look at whether or not we need to bring someone else in or if we think we’ve got enough with James and Ivan.

“We’ve taken a punt bringing James in but we feel he gives us something different and who knows what might happen with him for next season.

“We are looking and we are searching but every team wants to bring in a striker to make the difference at this stage of the season and that makes it very difficult.”
