The Cobblers assistant boss previews Bury v Northampton Town

Cobblers assistant boss Alan Knill previews Saturday’s trip to Bury.

“It’s a big game for us but I believe if we are at our best we can make it a difficult game for Bury,” he said.

“Bury are at home and I think they will be expected to beat us but both sides are in good form and we want to put the disappointment of Tuesday night behind us.

“We were well beaten by them here earlier in the season and they are a good side with good attacking players.

“Our aim is to get into the play-offs and I know everybody says it but we are just looking at the next game.

“We’ve done incredibly well to get to where we are and we want to finish the season well.

“50 points at Christmas looked a long way off and now we are on 53, 4 points outside the play-offs.

“We’ve got a great chance, it’s in our own hands and if we play well we will get ourselves in there.”
