Pre-season action for youth squad
Northampton Town's youth team travelled to AFC Stamford on Wednesday night for a pre-season friendly.
The Cobblers were beaten 2-1, Robbie Parsons on target to pull a goal back, and coach Craig Hinton was pleased with the performance of his young team.
"We had a very young side out against more experienced players," he said.
"Generally it was a pleasing performance, and the youngsters gain plenty from games such as these, which will stand them in good stead for the season ahead."
