Pre-season action for youth squad
Northampton Town's youth team were beaten 2-0 in a pre-season friendly at Daventry Town on Wednesday night.
"Despite the result it was a positive performance against a strong, experienced side," said Craig Hinton.
"It is a steep learning curve for us at the moment, particularly for the lads who have just joined us in the youth team. They learn a lot from playing against senior teams, and will gain the benefit from this game."
