Cobblers boss Chris Wilder previews Tuesday night’s pre-season friendly against Birmingham City at Sixfields, KO 7.30pm.
“We will mix the team up but there won’t be too many changes,” he said.
“It will be another competitive game and we’ll be looking to kick on again from the work we put in on Saturday.
“The new lads have fitted into the way we want to play really well and I believe we have signed players who will make us better.
“We are bang on track in terms of where we want to be, of course there is still work to be done at the top of the pitch in terms of our movement and the final ball but we have got players at the top of the pitch who can create and make things happen and I believe we will score goals.
“We are still two and a half weeks from the start of the season but I think we are in a good place.
“We’ve got a good squad, the core is there we just need to add one or two little pieces.”
