The Cobblers boss on Saturday's trip to Brackley Town
Cobblers boss Chris Wilder wants to see the impressive pre-season form continue in Saturday’s game at Brackley.
“We want another positive, front foot, committed performance,” he said.
“We can take a lot of confidence from our last two games, that doesn’t mean anything come August 8th but if we keep playing in the same manner with the same desire and attitude then we feel we will go well.
“Nicky Adams was excellent on Tuesday night along with a number of other players, I thought Ivan Toney looked good and he lead the line well against two experienced centre halves.
“Everybody produced really good performances and I don’t think there is anyone in the team who is really struggling for form at the moment.
“They are obviously all at different levels but we are pleased with where the players are at fitness wise and we are pleased with where they are at in terms of the performances that they are producing.
“We’ve had a good mix of games and we will be taking our first team squad to Brackley as we will be to Sheffield next Friday.
“We’ve not got a massive squad but we’ve got a few players coming back and we will assess them to see where they are.”
