The Cobblers boss on the first ten days of pre-season
Cobblers boss Chris Wilder has been pleased with the start to pre-season.
“The lads have been back for about ten days, they’ve been working hard and we’ve really started to ramp it up now,” he said.
“I believe the mentality of the players is key and the group I’ve got want to work hard and be successful.
“We’ve got the buzz back, there is good banter between the boys and the new lads have fitted in really well. Brighton will help with that but we’ll be working hard down there as well.
“We are bedding stuff in for the new season and over the next couple of weeks the players will really be lifting the standard and their work load.
“This is my team and my group now. I think we have got a lot of attacking flair in the group and we’ve spoken extensively about how we need to be better defensively and I’m sure we will be."
