Cobblers boss delighted with both recent goalkeepoer signings

Cobblers boss Chris Wilder  says that new signing Ryan Clarke could prove to be a major asset for the club.

“I recognise that we’ve taken our time with the two goalkeepers we’ve signed but I’m absolutely delighted with both the acquisition of Adam and now Ryan,” he said.

“They are both here on two year contracts and I’m expecting there to be a great battle between them for the number one shirt.

“That position is really well covered for us now and we’ve got a great blend of experience and games in Ryan and with youthfulness and potential in Adam.

“I know Ryan really well and I know what his character is all about. Out of all the signings I made during my time at Oxford I’d say Ryan would be in the top one and I’m sure we’ve got ourselves an excellent goalkeeper.

“He was absolutely outstanding for me and for Oxford and I’d imagine when we play there the reaction he will get from the Oxford supporters will be first class. He was outstanding for them and I’m sure he will be outstanding for us.”
