Alan Knill on Burgess Hill v Northampton Town
Cobblers assistant boss Alan Knill said the players had a good work out in the 0-0 draw at Burgess Hill Town on Saturday.
“It was a good challenge for us,” he said.
“The pitch made it difficult for us to get the ball down and pass it and obviously you always want to win but we didn’t lose and I’m always pleased when we keep a clean sheet.
“It was a typical pre-season surface but we still created enough chances and I thought the attitude of the players was excellent.
“There are lots of things we need to work on but considering I thought some of the lads had worked really hard during the week in Brighton, we are about where we want to be.”
