CHRIS WILDER ON KEEPING STANDARDS HIGH AHEAD OF ACCRINGTON STANLEY TRIP

29 January 2015

The views of the Cobblers boss ahead of Accrington Stanley v Northampton Town

Cobblers boss Chris Wilder previews Saturday’s trip to Accrington.

“Our mindset has to be bang on,” he said.

“You always know that when you go to Accrington you are in for a game and we will need to keep doing the things we’ve done well this month to get a result.

“We have to keep our standards high, confidence is coming back into the team, players are hitting form and we know that if we play well we are a difficult team to play against.

“We are trying to improve the club and move it forward and I think over the last year we have done that.

“We felt after the Tranmere game that we weren’t a million miles away but that we needed to make a few changes which we have done.

“I was never too downbeat, I’m not one for feast or famine and we knew we just had to keep going.

“I’m here for the long term, I’m enjoying my work here but we’ve got to keep the run we are on going and we all want to kick on.”
