Cobblers boss Chris Wilder reflecting on Saturday’s 2-0 win at Exeter.
“It’s a big win for us,” he said.
“We needed to back up the Southend result with a good result and a good performance which we've done and I’m delighted with the clean sheet.
“We had man performances all over the pitch and overall it’s been a good day for us.
“The balance of the side was good, we pressed high up the pitch and we were the better side after the first 15 minutes.
“It has been a tough period and we’re not out of it yet but we are moving in the right direction.
“We've got a committed group of players who are together and if you've got that then you've got a great chance of moving forward.”
