CHRIS WILDER ON HARTLEPOOL UNITED V NORTHAMPTON TOWN

The Cobblers boss ahead of Hartlepool United v Northampton Town

Cobblers boss Chris Wilder previews Tuesday night’s trip to Hartlepool.

“It’s a game Hartlepool need to win and we have to make sure that we are on top of our game,” he said.

“The next three games represent just as tough a challenge for us as playing a team at the top of the table and we understand that.

“Ronnie Moore has been an outstanding manager and he’s turned things round at every club he’s been at. His team will be competitive and organised and I certainly believe that Hartlepool wouldn’t be in the position they are if Ronnie had been there from the start of the season.

“Both sides will be looking for a win so I’d imagine it will be a pretty open game.

“We are on a fantastic run which we want to continue but we have got a lot of tough games to come.

“We haven’t achieved anything yet and we are not a club that is going to make bold statements about what we are going to do.

“I would never dampen any supporters expectations but we just need to keep our heads down and plough on.”
