Hartlepool United v Northampton Town
Cobblers boss Chris Wilder reflecting on Tuesday night’s narrow 1-0 defeat at Hartlepool.
“I’m hugely disappointed because I felt at half-time the game was there for the taking,” he said.
“There was nothing in the game first half, we then raised our levels in the second half which we needed to do but a mistake has cost us and we were then chasing the game.
“We shouldn’t have had to chase the game, it was a mistake that shouldn’t have happened and that gave them a real lift.
“We felt comfortable up to then and we did have opportunities in and around the box but we weren’t clinical enough and the front four didn’t show the quality or the energy that they have done in the last few games.”
