KINGSTHORPE JETS GIRLS HAD GREAT DAY ON SATURDAY - 'MEMORIES WILL STAY WITH THEM ALL THEIR LIVES'

7 December 2015

Local club enjoyed their experience at Sixfields on Saturday

We were delighted to receive the below email from Kingsthorpe Jets Girls who walked out with the players at the Northwich Victoria FA Cup tie recently.

Can I just start by thanking you, for the way we were treated and looked after by yourself, the organisers inside the ground and the players and staff. I'd like to know if you can pass this up to your manager, the team manager and the new owners. With the new girls section at the club, as much as I try to coach good football, I try to create a sense of what can be achieved if you believe in yourself and act accordingly.

I have been involved with youth football in the local area for nearly 10 years now with two of the largest clubs in the county, we work to encourage commitment, loyalty, respect in each other and the teams. What we encountered at the Northwich game was a shining example of how things should be done.  Our experience was Champions League not League Two and the foundation you have to grow from is excellent.

In organising it, you were polite, accommodating and an example to those who work with or for you.

In delivering the day, the staff were polite, understanding and empathetic to the needs of a group of girls from aged 4 to 12.

In taking them on the pitch, all the players were kind, understanding and helpful, in what is obviously a time when they need to be focussed but I suppose being professional does not just apply to the pitch. Many of these girls had never been to a match before, let alone experience being in the tunnel before a vital FA Cup fixture.

I was very proud of my girls in the way they behaved and did everything that was asked of them.

From the Board of Directors to the stewards, you should be as proud of Northampton Town Football Club as I am of you and my players. You have created something that will stay with them all their lives, thank you.

Regards
