CHRIS WILDER - 'SATURDAY'S GAME IS A REAL TREAT FOR THE FANS TO ENJOY'

17 December 2015

The Cobblers boss ahead of Northampton Town v Portsmouth

Cobblers boss Chris Wilder knows the anticipation that is greeting Saturday’s home game against Portsmouth.

“It’s a cracking game for the supporters and it’s one we are massively looking forward to,” he said.

“It will be a sell out and the atmosphere that we get here when it’s full is inspiring for the players.

“We are playing the best team in the division with the best players and I believe that any team that finishes above Portsmouth come the end of the season will be promoted.

“To be above Portsmouth after 21 games is a great achievement but we know that we have still got a lot of hard work to do.

“The players are enjoying their football and their character, work rate and effort has been absolutely first class.

“We’ve given ourselves a great platform but we need to kick on.

“The players are really enjoying playing for this football club and the supporters and they really want to do well for themselves and the club.”
