CHRIS WILDER - 'DISAPPOINTED BUT WE MOVE ON'

19 December 2015

The Cobblers boss on Northampton Town 1 Portsmouth 2

Cobblers boss Chris Wilder was disappointed as he reflected on Saturday’s 2-1 home defeat to Portsmouth.

“I’m disappointed because we’ve lost a game of football, I don’t like losing and the players don’t like losing,” he said.

“It was a really good game and for the first 25 minutes in the first half we were excellent.

“The wind got up in the second half and Portsmouth played the conditions better than us but I thought we’d weathered the storm and had started to get ourselves going again.

“Their second goal shouldn’t happen and it’s an absolute scandal that they score from our corner.

“We’ve lost a game of football in front of a capacity crowd and that’s disappointing.

“We should have taken a point today but we haven’t and we move on.”
