The Cobblers boss on Northampton Town v Blackpool

Lawson D’Ath will be back in the Cobblers squad for the Capital One Cup first round tie against Blackpool at Sixfields after missing the opening day win at Bristol Rovers through illness.

“Lawson will be back in the 18,” confirmed Cobblers boss Chris Wilder.

“Dominic Calvert-Lewin will play a part on Tuesday, Brendan Moloney and Evan Horwood are both working extremely hard and hopefully it won’t be too long before they are back involved.

“We will possibly freshen things up a little bit from Saturday and we might make one or two changes. We’ve got a lot of games this month and it’s important that the players are fresh.

“We picked up one or two bumps and bruises on Saturday but nothing too serious.

“We had a lot of tired legs because of the heat and the effort the players put in but we had a good bench on Saturday and we’ve got players who if needed are ready to go straight into the team.”
