The Cobblers boss on Barnet v Northampton Town
Cobblers boss Chris Wilder reflecting on Tuesday night’s defeat at Barnet.
“I thought it was a pretty even game but we’ve just fallen a little bit short tonight,” he said.
“The first goal was always going to be massive and with the double whammy with the sending off as well it was always going to be difficult for us to come back from that.
“I believe if we’d have got the first goal we would have gone on to win the game but we didn’t and that’s league 2 football..
“There are no easy games in this league, it’s a tight division and we knew it was going to be tough here tonight. The players knew that as well but the changes we made had no impact what so ever on the result.
“Ricky Holmes tweaked his back in the warm-up so it’s been a disappointing night for us but we move on quickly.”
