The Cobblers boss on Northampton Town v Exeter City

Cobblers boss Chris Wilder’s previews Saturday’s visit of Exeter City.

“It’s been a great start for us and the key is keeping that going,” he said.

“We are in a good place at the moment but we will be taking nothing for granted on Saturday and we’ve got to go again.

“Exeter have had a fantastic start and I’ve got a lot of respect for Paul Tisdale and the job he’s done there. He always gets the maximum out of what he’s got and they’ve got some talented players.

“We’ve looked bright going forward in our first two games but what has pleased us most is that we have looked very solid and compact at the back and we need to keep that going.

“We feel that we’ve picked the right team for the first two games but I’ve been in the game long enough to know that you can’t be complacent. We need to make sure that we prepare the team right again for Saturday and I need to make sure that I pick the right team.

“The next game is always the most important but we do need to have half an eye on Tuesday night as well.”
