Cobblers boss Chris Wilder reflecting on his side’s 3-0 Capital One Cup first round victory over League One side Blackpool.
“It’s been an outstanding night for us, we worked really hard and I hope everybody enjoyed it,” he said.
“We deserve to be in the next round and we are delighted to be there. We outfought and outworked the opposition tonight and that allowed us to dictate the game.
“It’s another clean sheet which is good, we created some decent chances and we were clinical in front of goal which pleased me.
“We’ve got a good balance, there is some outstanding young talent in the team and we are playing confident, positive football.
“We are on the right track and when we play like we did tonight, at that tempo and with that energy we are going to be a difficult team to stop.”
