All the news ahead of Oxford United v Northampton Town
Ryan Cresswell and Jason Taylor are both set to serve two match bans this week, meaning they will miss the games against Oxford and Cheltenham.
Cresswell was sent off for the second time this season on Saturday while Taylor picked up his 10th yellow card of the campaign.
Ricky Holmes (knee) could however come back into the squad for the trip to the Kassam Stadium with a decision also to be made on leading goalscorer Marc Richards (Achilles).
“We’ve lost two key players in Ryan and Jason but we will check on Ricky and hopefully he will be okay,” said boss Chris Wilder.
“I’d love to have Marc in the squad but I’m thinking he won’t be and if we can have him on the bench on Saturday then that will give us a massive lift.
“We’d love to get him back because he’s a winner and he’s been an obvious miss for us but it’s a dangerous injury to take any gambles with and we certainly won’t be doing that.
“Whatever side I pick we will go with a strong group and the key thing for me now is that we finish the season on a high.”
