The Cobblers boss on AFC Wimbledon v Northampton Town
Cobblers boss Chris Wilder praised the attitude of his players in the 2-2 Good Friday draw at AFC Wimbledon.
“I’d imagine a lot of people thought we were dead and buried and wrote us off at 2-0 but the players showed real character to come back,” he said.
“It was a tough game on a difficult surface but the mentality of the group to get something from the game was outstanding.
“We had a go at it, the players who came on made a difference and in the end we were a touch disappointed not to get a winner.
“James Gray was outstanding and he was pivotal to all our good play today.
“We were brave with our substitutions and the way we changed things round tactically but it was up to the players to respond and they produced.”
