The Cobblers boss ahead of Northampton Town v Wycombe Wanderers

Boss Chris Wilder previews the final game of the season against Wycombe Wanderers.

“We want to finish the season on a high and we want to reward our supporters with a positive performance and a positive result,” he said.

“We’ve had a great run at home and we want to make sure we finish in the top 10 because I think that would be an achievement from where we were last year.

“Ultimately we are disappointed because we feel we should have got a bit closer to the play-offs but we will learn from the lessons this year and build again in the summer.

“We want to make progress on and off the pitch, we’ve taken a forward step this year and we will be looking to take another forward step next year.

“We have done quite a lot of decent stuff this year but good clubs improve year on year and we want to kick on again.

“Our first half performance at Burton disappointed me immensely, the players did show a reaction in the second half which pleased me but they needed to and we need to show a reaction again on Saturday.”
