Under 11 squad are in Barcelona, here is day one of their tour diary
The Northampton Town Academy Under 11 squad are on tour in Barcelona this week. Here is their first tour diary entry:
After the end of a day which started with a forgotten passport, the boys are settled into their rooms and the resort and having a great time. Cambrils Park is a fantastic resort with many foreign teams staying here and the lads are mixing well showcasing Northampton Town in a great way in Spain.
Tony and Julie from Club Activo are our personal chaperones on tour and are staying on site. The boys have had a trip down to the beach which soon turned into beach football within a few minutes. After returning to the resort the boys had some time in the pool before dinner, which was a huge buffet. We were very impressed with the eating choices and selections - though we may need to leave some for other groups next meal time!!
An NTFC’s Got Talent show ended the day with Sam, Owen, Harrison and McKenzie winning the trophy for some interesting jokes, comedy timing and what we hope was comedy dancing. Some of the boys showed some additional talents which we didn’t know they had. They are settled in the villas now and bedtime is much needed (for the coaches more than the boys!!) and tomorrow they are training in the morning followed by some leisure time.
Freddie King (reporter of the day):
Today we have really enjoyed the many activities we did. Also we have performed and watched many funny acts!! We are looking forward to playing lots more football tomorrow, especially the game against a Spanish team.
Another update coming soon as Sam Seuke takes over from Freddie on reporting duties!!
