The views of the Cobblers boss

Cobblers boss Chris Wilder was a happy man as he reflected on Saturday’s 2-0 win at Dagenham.

“It’s still early days and we are not going to get carried away with ourselves but it’s a valuable three points,” he said.

“We were right at it from the word go and we looked a real threat in the first half especially. We had pace and power and our front four were a real threat.

“In the second half we just had to stay smart and stay professional which we did and the attitude of all the players has been spot on yet again.

“We had to be right mentally more than anything today and I think we saw the benefits of having a free week.

“We can be happy with our efforts so far and I’m delighted with the way things are going at the moment.

“It’s been a decent start to the season and we will only get better.”
