All the news ahead of Northampton Town v Hartlepool United

Winger Kaid Mohamed (foot) is set to return to the Cobblers squad on Tuesday night but goalkeeper Matt Duke (thigh) has been ruled out for two to four weeks.

“Kaid will be back and he will definitely play which is good news for us,” said boss Chris Wilder.

“Matt is going to be out for two to four weeks with a thigh problem so we have recalled Dean Snedker from his loan at Brackley.

“We couldn’t risk Matt making the injury worse and being out for two to three months and I’ve got no problems with Jordan Archer getting a little run in the team.

“Lawson D’Ath is really pushing for a start and he is definitely in our thoughts. He’s got energy and enthusiasm and it seems every time Lawson comes onto the pitch he makes something happen.

“The subs that we have brought on in games this season have generally made a difference and it’s important that you have got players on the bench who can come on and make an impact.”
