Striker to spend a month with Exeter City
Northampton Town striker Alex Nicholls has joined fellow Sky Bet League 2 side Exeter City on a month's loan.
Nicholls, who signed a new contract with the Cobblers in the summer, made his return to competitive action in the Capital One Cup tie at AFC Bournemouth last week after missing 22 months after sustaining a broken leg scoring against Port Vale in October 2012.
"Alex has done wonderfully well to get back to where he is now," said boss Chris Wilder.
"The next stage for him is to be playing regular first team football and this move will give him the opportunity to do that.
"Playing regularly will help him, we will monitor his progress closely and we wish him every success in the next few weeks."
