Northampton Town sign Fleetwood Town midfielder on loan
Northampton Town have signed Fleetwood Town midfielder Stewart Murdoch on loan until January 3rd 2015.
Murdoch joined Fleetwood in the 2013 summer transfer window after he signed a two-year deal to make the move from Scottish First Division side Falkirk.
Born north of the border in Scotland, Murdoch came through the academy at Falkirk and over a six-year period made 93 appearances for the Bairns, scoring seven times.
Brief loan spells at Berwick Rangers and East Fife went alongside his time at the Falkirk Stadium.
Described as a box-to-box midfielder who can pick out a pass, Murdoch proved to be an important addition to the Fleetwood squad, making 48 appearances as the Cod Army won promotion in 2013/14.
He does have permission to play in the FA Cup.
