RICHARDS SET TO RETURN FOR WYCOMBE TRIP

3 October 2014

All the news ahead of Wycombe Wanderers v Northampton Town

ADVANCED TICKET PURCHASE IS ADVISED

Sky Bet League 2's leading goalscorer Marc Richards will be back for Saturday’s trip to Wycombe after missing the game at Morecambe with a hamstring injury.

“Marc will be available which is good news for us,” said boss Chris Wilder.

“Daniel Alfei, Matt Duke and Emile Sinclair will all start training next week, Kelvin Langmead trained on Thursday, and we are just waiting on a scan to come back on Zander Diamond but hopefully he won’t be out for too long.

“Any professional footballer will tell you that being injured is the worst part about being a footballer and they are all working really hard to be back involved.

"Ryan Watson won't play again before his loan expires and that is of course a big blow for us and for Ryan.

“The first two months have been difficult because we haven’t had that continuity and some people might see that as a reason for our inconsistency but we’ve got a strong group.

“Some injuries are unavoidable but we need to look into everything and if there is a theme there then we need to iron that out now.”
