All the team news ahead of Portsmouth v Northampton Town

Cobblers boss Chris Wilder has confirmed that striker Alex Nicholls will start against Portsmouth following his loan recall from Exeter.

Defender Gregor Robertson will meanwhile be missing as he serves a one-match ban.

“Alex will start on Tuesday night and we’ve not bought him back to just sit on the bench,” he said.

“Other than that we will go with the same group again as we did on Saturday but we will obviously be missing Gregor.

“Marc Richards will be involved again, it would have been quite easy to stick him back in from the start against Wycombe but we wanted to be a bit cautious with him because he’d only trained for a couple of days.

“Daniel Alfei will hopefully be back in training on Thursday and Emile Sinclair next Monday.

“Kelvin Langmead is not ready for 90 minutes yet but he will be involved and we’ve got a behind closed doors reserve game next week which hopefully he will play a big part in.”
