John-Joe O’Toole returns to the Cobblers squad for Saturday’s trip to Cheltenham. The midfielder missed the game against Burton after picking up an injury in the warm-up.
“John-Joe will be back for the weekend,” confirmed Town boss Chris Wilder.
“With Zander we are waiting on the results of a scan on his ankle and hopefully we will know more very soon.
“We are getting some players back but at the moment continuity in terms of team selection is pretty much nonexistent.
“I think we have been a bit unlucky with some of the injuries we’ve picked up but we’ve definitely had far too many hamstring injuries and that is something we need to look at.
“You have to train at an intensity and we are not over training but certainly the amount of hamstring injuries we’ve had this season is a definite concern.”
