Some stats and facts to mark the stadium's birthday

Sixfields is 20 years old today.

The stadium opened its doors for the first time on Octber 15th 1994, when Barnet for the visitors for the opening game, a 1-1 draw. The Cobbler goal that day came from the late, sadly missed,Martin Aldridge.

A FEW FACTS FROM THE LAST 20 YEARS:
Highest attendance: 7,557 V Manchester City 26th September 1998

92 different sides have played competitive games at Sixfields against the Cobblers, with Cheltenham Town the most regular visitors (14 times.)

Most appearances: Ian Sampson 184, John Frain 117,Andy Holt 103

Most goals: Adebayo Akinfenwa 40, Jamie Forrester 26, Scott McGleish 25

Biggest win: 5-0 v Macclesfield Town, 21st January 2006
