Chris Wilder on Northampton Town v Burton Albion
Cobblers boss Chris Wilder reflecting on Saturday’s home defeat to Burton Albion.
“We needed to show a bit more quality in our play,” he said.
“We had chances to take the lead in the first half and if we’d have scored first I think we would have gone on to win the game.
“Burton made it difficult for us in the second half, I’ve got no complaints about that and our front four just failed to find that spark today.
“We put Kelvin on to be a bit more direct and he did great but it was an unbelievable strike for their winner and you can’t really do anything about that.
“John-Joe O’Toole tweaked his back in the warm-up and we will have to assess that in the week. The injuries we are getting at the moment are ridiculous but we just have to get on with it.”
