The Cobblers boss ahead of Portsmouth v Northampton Town

Cobblers boss Chris Wilder previews Tuesday night’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy second round tie at Portsmouth, kick off 7.45pm.

“We want to win every game and I’m sure Portsmouth will be the same,” he said.

“We will make some changes but we don’t see it as weakening our side by playing the likes of John-Joe O’Toole and Darren Carter.

“Portsmouth beat us earlier in the season but this is another game and I know we can do better.

“We want to win, I expect us to do well and there is no reason why we can’t go there and get a result.

“We are doing well in the league, we’ve got some really big games coming up and it’s a chance for the players who do come in to really stake a claim.”
