Chris Wilder on Cheltenham Town v Northampton Town

Cobblers boss Chris Wilder felt his side should have taken something from Saturday’s game at Cheltenham.

“This is a game we should have won, we had the game by the scruff of the neck in the second half and we’ve chucked it away,” he said.

“We needed to be clinical when we were on top, the game was there for us to take it away from Cheltenham and we should have done.

“We needed to show more quality with the ball and at the other end we gave away too many daft free-kicks and we can’t keep chasing games.

“At the moment we are too up and down as a side and that concerns me because our inconsistency is holding us back.”
