Football League Youth Alliance action
Northampton Town’s youth team took on Watford at Moulton College on Saturday morning in the Football League Youth Alliance.
The game ended 1-1 with Ryan Marsden on target for the Cobblers.
“It was a pleasing performance,” said under 18s coach Craig Hinton.
“After the long trip in the FA Youth Cup on Thursday night we had to make some changes but the lads did well and the only disappointing thing was we couldn’t quite see the game out.
“Watford scored a late goal to equalise but We lost our goalkeeper Charlie Andrews and Ryan Cooke had to go in goal.”
