Football League Youth Alliance report
Northampton Town’s youth team travelled to Leyton Orient on Saturday in the Football League Youth Alliance.
Despite goals from Ritchie Parker and Shaun McWilliams the Cobblers were beaten 3-2 in the capital.
“After a slow start we came back into the game well,” said coach Craig Hinton.
“On the balance of play we probably deserved a draw but it wasn’t to be for us today and now we look forward to our FA Youth Cup tie in the week.”
Next up for the under 18s on Thursday (6 Nov) it’s their FA Youth Cup first round tie away at Knaresborough, KO 7pm.
