Northampton Town's youth team are through to the second round of the FA Youth Cup after a 1-0 win at Knaresborough Town on Thursday evening.
A goal midway through the second half from Ryan Cooke was enough to seal the Cobblers' progress.
"It was a good professional performance," said under 18s coach Craig Hinton.
"The conditions were really difficult in the wind and the rain and we were up against a willing side who worked really hard and made things tough for us, but the lads did a professional job.
"Given the circumstances we are delighted with a clean sheet and we are pleased to be through."
The Cobblers will travel to Mansfield Town in round 2.
