Cobblers boss Chris Wilder previews this Saturday’s trip to Southend.

“We talked about this being a big month for us and we are looking forward to the next challenge,” he said.

“Southend have been in and around the top of the division for the last four or five years and It’s always a tough place to go and get a result.

“This league is so, so tight in terms of quality but we believe we can go to Southend and win.

“We believe we have the quality to do that but we know that if we are going to do that we will have to play well.

“We were disappointed that we had to hold out at the end of the game last Saturday because I thought we were outstanding in the first half and the only thing missing was a couple more goals.

“When results don’t go your way you are bound to get knocks but hopefully now with two wins out of three and some good performances the confidence will start to come back in to the players.”
