The Cobblers boss on Northampton Town v Stevenage
Cobblers boss Chris Wilder reflecting on Saturday’s win against Stevenage.
“The most important thing today was that we got the win and we’ve done that,” he said.
“We’ve played okay today but the be all and end all is it’s all about winning.
“A second goal would have been good to settle everybody’s nerves and I felt in the first half we could have taken the game away from them.
“Credit to Stevenage they stuck at it which you always expect with them and when we broke the play up we could have maybe been a bit better with the ball but the main thing is that we’ve won a game of football.
“It’s two wins out of three in the league with two clean sheets and we can go to Southend next week now in good heart.
“Kelvin Langmead was excellent, he’s played a part in an excellent win and a clean sheet."
