Cobblers boss keen to make as many additions as possible before late June
Cobblers boss Chris Wilder is confident that Chris Hackett, Gregor Robertson, David Moyo and Connor Roberts will all accept the contracts that have been offered to them.
“We expect all four of them to sign but we won’t wait for ever,” he said.
“I respect that the players need a bit of time to digest the offers but we feel that we are a club going places and hopefully they will accept.
“If I was a player and it fitted right financially I’d want to be a part of what is happening here and we want all four of them to be involved in what hopefully will be a much more successful season.
“There is definitely a fantastic vibe and unity around the place, we’ve got momentum and we are hopeful of being in and around the top of the league next season.
“We are trying to get the mix and the balance of the squad right with some promising young pros to go with some experienced players who still want to achieve.
“Marc Richards and Zander Diamond were two big targets for us and we’re absolutely delighted to have the backing of the Chairman yet again.
“One of the main reasons why I came to the football club was the ambition of the Chairman and hopefully we will be able to get a few more deals over the line before pre-season.
“We want the squad pretty much set before the first day of pre-season but there is still plenty of work to do before that.”
