Cobblers boss looking to improve further

Chris Wilder says he is expecting more from his Northampton Town squad next season.

“I think you've seen in glimpses what we are about, we want to be disciplined and organised but we want to also get after teams and play on the front foot," he said.

“We want to play decent football but we want to win and that’s what we are all in the game for.

“We feel like we are a good club going forward, I’m ambitious and I want to win things and so does the Chairman and the board.

“We want to do our business well in the summer, hopefully we will have a good pre-season with a lot of time on the training pitch and we can then hit the ground running coming into the new season.

“I think it will be a competitive tight league yet again next season and having Luton back in the league obviously adds an attractive fixture for us.

“I like the look of Portsmouth and Bury who had a fantastic end to the season as we had and sometimes that momentum and that feel good factor that we’ve got around the place here can push you on."
