ARSENAL ODDS ON TO BEAT HULL CITY

15 May 2014

All the FA Cup final betting odds

Arsenal are odds-on to win their first piece of silverware since 2005 as they take on underdogs Hull in the FA Cup final on Saturday evening.

The Gunners are 2/7 to lift the trophy for the 11th time and 15/1 to win it on penalties, having required a shoot-out to oust Wigan at the semi-final stage.
Meanwhile, Hull will be looking for their first ever FA Cup honour, with their previous best effort being a semi-final appearance in 1930. The Tigers are 5/2 to pull off the upset.

Seven of the last nine meetings between Hull and Arsenal have produced exactly three goals, which is available to back at 3/1 in the ‘Total Goals’ market.

Of those seven games to feature exactly three goals, the scoreline has been 2-1 to either side on four occasions, and it’s 15/2 for Arsenal to win by that familiar scoreline, while Hull are 20/1 to do likewise.

Hull’s main strikers Shane Long and Nikica Jelavic are cup-tied, so Matty Fryatt is considered their most likely goalscorer at 7/2 to net anytime and 10/1 to break the deadlock, closely followed by Yannick Sagbo.

Olivier Giroud, who was the first goalscorer on more occasions than any other player during the Premier League season, is the favourite to score first at 7/2, though Aaron Ramsey is the value choice at 6/1.
