A look back at January 2014
There was a false start to 2014 when the New Year's Day game with Chesterfield was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.The game at Newport on January 4th survived a pitch inspection and goals from Hallam Hope and Darren Carter saw the Cobblers win 2-1, Matt Duke saving a late penalty.
The following Saturday, York won at Sixfields while the final game of the month saw Chesterfield do the same. Chris Wilder was then appointed manager, with a number of new signings arriving before the transfer window closed.
